‘SCOTUS Corruptus’
"Just as Alabama doubled down on racial discrimination, the Court today doubles down on chaos," Supreme Court Justice, Sonia Sotomayor wrote in her 17 page dissent on SCOTUS’ 6 to 3 ruling allowing Alabama to use a congressional map that eliminates a Black district. "Because I choose to defend the rule of law and the right of all Alabamians to participate equally in democracy, I respectfully dissent." The court’s decision will all but guarantee newly elected Black Democratic Representative Shomari Figures loss of his seat in Congress. Gee, it’s almost as if by design. In any case, ramifications reach far beyond merely this election. It’s another step backward to the days of blatant discrimination, consistent with the Republican aim of eradicating diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
‘Blow Hard’
Donald J does not like being upstaged. But, even more than that, he has a knack for believing every event, activity, operation is about him. In every case it is either an accolade that glorifies him, or a plot directed against him, contrived by evil-doers. The 250th anniversary of the United States of America has Donald Trump at the center. All over the District, banners with Trump’s portrait are on display… y’know, like those bigger-than-life Stalin and Lenin icons of the former Soviet Union. Thus, my cartoon of how I picture Donald J at our nation’s 250th birthday party.
Epilogue
I’m Spartacus
Despite the Federal lawsuit and public outcry, Donald J was determined to get his 80th birthday wish and ostensibly in celebration of America’s 250th, by having a UFC mixed martial arts fight on the White House lawn. Now, here is where an opportunity was missed for Trump to maintain his control over the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. What better way to replace the despicable programming of girly man ballet, than with a wholesome, all-American bare knuckled, blood spewing, sweat dripping fight fest. You can actually smell the testosterone in the air. But, the White House lawn was the chosen venue. And, Trump compares the colossal cage being built to the Eiffel Tower, adding that “we should keep it in place, forever.” And, why not? What better symbol of the Trump legacy could there be than a cage? To carry the theme, for next Easter’s White House lawn activities, along with to the kiddie parade and egg hunt, we could add cock fights. Now, there’s some good, wholesome MAGA family fun.

Got me laughing out loud. (To keep from screaming). Especially like the new SCOTUS entrance.
